Two landscapes

I rarely take landscape shots (that I'm happy with), so it took some rooting about to find these.

The first is a pastoral view taken from Hillsborough - a sea promontory with an Iron Age hill fort just outside Ilfracombe, North Devon, England. The picture isn't of the hill fort :-) It's looking inland at the little houses tucked prettily into the rolling terrain. So cosy - and very different in feeling to the jagged sea cliffs only a mile away.

And this is a view of the sea taken at Victoria, British Columbia, at sunset on a particularly turbulent autumn evening.

Comments

Mmmmm, they're both lovely.
Those are booth beautiful. I would love to explore the first.
Two lovely pictures and so contrasting. I really like the bucolic peace of the first one, but I love the drama of the second.
I like both of these - and I really like all the contrasts between the two.
