Wall

.
I already posted my best photo of 'THE Wall' for the previous Wall prompt, last April. So, in the spirit of recycling, here is a picture of part of the old city walls, built from stone plundered from Hadrian's Wall and then plundered in turn to build parts of the rapidly industrialising city.

Great photo!
Thanks.
The things that wall could tell us!
Yes, decades and centuries of border wars and border raids. It's good to live in more peaceful times.
I thought of THE Wall immediately as well. That's a really good picture of a bit of the city wall, though - where is it?

I probably shouldn't have used the same prompt so soon, but it came out on the random generator and was fairly easy to interpret I thought!
It is behind Stowell Street. In the distance, you can just see the ceremonial gate to China Town, in front of the Irish Centre.

It is a good prompt.
Oh yes - I can see where it is, now!

It's time...

How cool is that? Not that poor old Hadrian lost his wall, but that it's still be used for walls and other things. Is this York?

Re: It's time...

No, Hadrian's Wall is a bit further north than York. This is Newcastle. It is pretty cool that there is still some wall standing, though.
