This picture isn't showing up either - Which is a shame as I really want to see it!
It seems only Shirebound can see the photos. I've idea why. Going to have to try something different. I'm using the LJ scrapbook. Might have to do something different.
Changed the location and linked from photobucket. Let me know if you can see them now. Thanks.
Yes - I can see it fine now.

I can see how it works, too - where the 'gate' slots in during floods.ave seen quite a few similar ones in the news here in the past couple of months - including a number of times when someone has stood there saying "Yes, it did work.... it stopped the water flooding the town right up until it got too high for the flood wall..."!
I've never seen this one in action but I remember the damage before they had it. I'm glad the photos are showing now. I guess I just need to use photo bucket rather than the LJ scrapbook.
Oooooh. *shivers*

Are you getting any of the current storm?
I am indeed.
Wow. That's impressive. And a bit scary to think of a flood that deep.
Yes, our area is prone to flooding. We currently have about two foot of snow on the ground and if that melts too quickly, we will have flooding in some areas. But, the wall is ready.
