Float

This one, I found very touching.

Two years ago, we spent a week on a Danish island in a cottage right at the marina, when we saw a group of people at he beach close by, holding flowers, and a man wearing oilskin trousers wading into the water carrying a small container. A few hours later we took a walk along the beach and found lots of flowers and petals still floating in the water, most drifting towards the rock jetty where I took this pic.
Later, we visited a local artisan and friend of ours who told us that this had been a private memory service for a fellow artisan who had died after a sudden illness, and had wanted to have her ashes spread out onto the sea. Our friend had been there, and said it had been as loving and peaceful as it looked to us, and just how her friend had wanted it.

Oh my. "Loving and peaceful" is a wonderful way to gather for a memorial.
So do I.
That is indeed a touching story.
Thank you.
I love this! The entire event, and these flowers on the water are a wonderful memorial to someone who was treasured by others.

Isn't it just? I would treasure this for somebody I care for as well.
