Weird, History & Up and Down

Playing catch-up, and hopefully will keep up this year.  I know I say this every year, but am going to try to behave this year.

WEIRD
I went to London last November and spotted this dress in the Science Museum ... It is made of plastic bottles!!

HISTORY
I spent this last weekend at my aunts (it was her 90th) and she was telling me that she is going to give one of her Grandmother's Bibles to a cousin, as she is "that" side of the family.  So took a photo of this page -

John was my Dad's youngest Uncle.  He was in the Merchant Navy during the war, and this was his mother's notes on when he was torpedoed.

UP & DOWN

What else - a see-saw.  My brothers and I enjoyed these, right into our 20's ... and wow, did they both give me a sore bottom!!

Great choices! I'm fascinated by that dress.
That is definitely a wonderfully weird dress.

And what a fascinating piece of history.

I think the see-saw is the perfect response to the 'up and down' prompt.
A very weird dress. I can't imagine it is comfortable to wear.

The last line of that inscription is very poignant. Poor Ada.

The see-saw is a perfect response to that prompt.
The soda can dress is interesting, but I'm rather intrigued by the one next to it... which looks like it was made out of some drapes!

And wow... the family bible is rather amazing! We don't have anything like that... or if we ever did, it got passed down to branches of the family that weren't mine. :-)
Great choices! That dress is fascinating, although I don't think it's very comfortable to wear. ;)
