Pause

I don't live with a pet, so I couldn't do a Paws photo and Pause had me puzzled until I thought to look at the dictionary definition.
One of the definitions read, 'a temporary stop in action or speech' and I thought about traffic lights.

So here is the amber light below the red one, which is saying, "Wait, wait, nearly, but not quite yet". And then they both went out and the light went green.

pip foot

A few years ago, one of Pippin's dewclaws (the extra nail that grows on an animal's 'wrist') got caught on something and started bleeding a lot, so I rushed her to the vet. I found the bandage to be adorable, especially the "purple heart" the vet gave her.

Building

This building is a very ecologically friendly house on the island of Skye, where I spent a week in 2014.

Money and Building

As a prompt for a photo, 'Money' really stumped me. Eventually I went with a menu with prices on it.
This is the front door of a small shop near the town centre. I remember reading some writing advice once, that said trying to write a character's accent is never a good idea, but this is not accent, this is dialect. This is a shop that is playing towards local identity, not only in the menu but also in the paintwork - black and white being the colours of Newcastle United.

And this picture of building work going on was taken near St James, the ground belonging to that football club. I suspect when it is finished this building will tower over the pub called 'The Strawberry'.

2017 Challenge Week 13

Hmm - not many people wanting to show us the money...

But the word for this week should be easier - it is building!

Money

This is a genuine, spendable, coin - it is a Manx crown dated 1979, and so worth 25p as actual money - although I think now I could sell it for about £10.00 or so.

Note the word millennium - it is celebrating not the beginning of the 21st century, but the 1,000 year anniversary of our parliament, the Tynwald.

Chocolate

I would never buy chocolates there, because... price. But I liked this shop's title when I first saw it, as much for the French pretentiousness as anything else *g*
