Yes, seeing these WWI items are always poignant ... I had a grandfather who served for most of the war.

I saw a few green daffodil sprouts in the lowest and most sheltered place in the neighborhood. . . .
Certainly those daffs were lovely, we have a few out here, now, but they are getting blown to bits at present by the wind!
Great choices! The coat looks rather ghostly, but I imagine any kind of dress/uniform in these times would have made one shudder for any reason or other.
Certainly a depressing look, but in "the sea of mud" that Flanders became, very useful
