Tea + Hope

Everyday

This tea caddy was a wedding gift for my parents, and when I was a kid it was always full of loose tea, now, it's always got tea-bags in.  My parents married in 1952, and moved into their first house in 1953 ... it's now 2019, so I am not going to work out how many days that is.  However, other than on holidays it has certainly been used many times each day

(OOoooops, as I now posted it, I realisd I took the photo showing the seam, sorry)

Comments

It is a rather nice tea caddy - I think my sister took the one frm Mum's when we closed the house for her - but it was a tin one and much less pretty.
I took it for granted when I was a kid, so am glad I kept it when Mum & Dad died ... a lovely heritage, and happy memories

This is only a cheapo one, but like your sister, worth keeping
What a treasure! So full of memories.

Oh, I really like that.
Thanks, I never really look at the detail on it, so this was a good excuse
What a lovely piece of personal history, and a nice item for daily use!
