I went out in the garden to spy an H - the hydrangea -

But on the way past I also spotted a double H - the Himalayan Honeysuckle -

And a third - a hollyhock -

Beautiful finds!!
Thank you!
How lovely! The bottom one looks a little like a hibiscus.
To be honest I'm not too sure what it is, but my husband assures me that it is a hollyhock. Although hibiscus would have fitted the prompt beautifully too!
Oh, I can see that, too!
So pretty.
Thank you - I really do enjoy this garden :)
Well spotted! :)
Thank you.
I am glad you named the last 2 otherwise I would have wondered what their names were!

You obviously have green fingers
I think the previous owner had them - but things seem to be flourishing for me too thank goodness.

I did spend quite a bit of time last year asking people 'Do you know what this plant is?' :)
Mum was the one with green fingers ..... mind you, when she moved to Torquay in '97 she was stumped (she didn't recognise the cannabis plant!!!)
My grandfather once grew it accidentally from discarded birdseed. Our neighbour, a policeman, recognised it and suggested he get rid of it - preferably not on the fire!
Those are really nice pictures. The last one particularly - the way the light reflects off the petals.
Thank you - I hadn't really thought about it until you mentioned it - and now I am quietly pleased with that one!
