Honor

A wall in our basement that contains pics, medals and souvenirs from my father (career Air Force)my husband's stepfather (WW II), his real father and an uncle (WW II Navy) and hubby's group shot from when he spent six years in the Marines. So, four men who fought in WW II, and one who just missed shipping out to Vietnam.

My dad's stuff (and my brother is in one of the pics, forgot he'd spent time in the AF too)

What a truly special wall - a real tribute to both your family and to Honour, as well.
It was my husband's idea, since we had the photos and the space in our newly finished off basement (man cave). :)
Terrific! Have you been to the WW2 Memorial in Washington DC? I suspect you'd enjoy it.
I have not, actually. I rarely go into the city anymore unless I have a specific destination. My parents are buried in Arlington, though.
We moved out west 16 years ago, but I was recently back home in the DC area and visited the memorial. I have family buried at Arlington too. It's pretty hard to get into there anymore - post 9/11.
What an amazing collection - thank you so much for sharing.
That's spectacular. And so much better than leaving everything tucked safely away in boxes.
*nods* Yeah, it's pretty cool. I wouldn't want it in my living room, but where it is, it's fine.
We have a picture of my great uncle a little like the one in your first shot - a young guy in his first (I guess?) uniform. Great family memories.
Lots of history on that wall. I love the shot of your brother. It's nice to see a smile in military photos.
