January catch up

I'm another newbie for this community.  All of these pictures I took on a trip to South Africa a couple of years ago.

Water - this was taken in Durban.

Honor:  decent work that doesn't hurt anyone.  Taken in Coffee Bay, on the Wild Coast.

Depart.  Taken in "Shakaland".  This village was constructed as a set for the mini series Shaka Zulu, and is now inhabited by Zulus who put on a show of disneyfied Zulu life for tacky tourists like me.

Tree: Taken in Kruger park.  This is what a tree looks like when an elephant is done with it.

How beautiful -- especially the water and the tree! That must have been an incredible trip.
Thank you very much. It was an incredible trip, indeed. I put a travelogue with links to all 2,000+ photos on my website, here: http://www.hilleviwyman.com/africa
I love the picture of the Zulu lady walking away - I can feel her hips swaying!

And the picture of the tree is just beautiful.
Thank you 'Wombat. Like many others, I think, I've been inspired to participate here by you, and your approbation is especially welcome.
OMG, I just love that tree shot. And the little boy's expression is wonderful.
Thank you. I love the starkness of the tree, framed by the soft twilight sky.
Thank you for sharing some of your trip.
Love the pictures. I've always wanted to visit South Africa.
