There is, honestly, a ladder at the centre of this picture: you can just see its lowest rungs about two thirds of the way up in the centre. It's the only means of access now for the guys who are working on improving the roof at my work. It has been an interesting week, watching them build up the scaffolding substructures right in the middle of our main corridor. Under the cut is a picture of the indoor scaffolding they've had to build to do it - and that's at second floor level, so there's a lot more lower down too. Scaffolding men are scary and apparently fearless.
