I intended to post these this morning but I got distracted by RL, pesky thing that that is.
This is the inside of a chapel in Tynemouth Priory. The priory itself was dissolved by Henry VIII, but this chapel was restored with Victorian stained glass in the windows and the ceiling painted blue with stars.
The castle and priory ruins are on the cliff top overlooking the sea and the headland is a prime defensive position. However, if you look beyond and to the right of the big, First World War gun, beyond the Victorian graveyard and below the ruined medieval wall, you can see the round window of the chapel, viewed from the outside.
