I love giraffes - and here is my latest.  It was a Christmas pressie from my nephews, and as you can see, so new, it is still in it's wrapping.  It is actually a battery-powered light, but I aim to just have it up on the wall in my conservatory.

It took me a bit to figure out what to post... but then I remembered this photo from last year. One of our resident deer with her two new babies, trotting across the road away from our house. I tried to get a good shot when they were up by our front door, but they just weren't cooperating, so this was the best I could do. They still hang out in our yard all the time... the babies are getting big, but are still obviously fawns.

The one closest to mom we call Grey Baby. It was apparently born grey and was noticeably smaller than its sibling. We had a bit of a scare at one point when it showed up with a huge gash on its leg, but thankfully that healed up nicely. Grey Baby is now no longer grey and is about the same size as its sibling (its head is a slightly different shape, so we can tell them apart when they're together).
