Sleep

I don't possess any pets, small kids or even snoozy older people willing to be photographed, so I'm borrowing my cousin's cat for this week's prompt. Said cat has been transplanted to my uncle's house while cousin prepares for a bit of world travel. Said cat has a dedicated basket for sleeping, which she's happily used at my cousin's house. Said cat also has an enticing alternative fluffy nest thing as created by my cousin to reconcile her to her temporary new home.

Where does the cat choose to sleep? On the shoe shelf. She moved before I could photograph her sleeping *on her head* on the shoe shelf, but this still doesn't look like the best option to me...

That's so typical of cats. It's part of their charm, and also part of why their brains are so much more foreign than dogs;, I think.
Oh that is such a typical cat place to sleep!
Very like a cat! (I have one pressed to my leg, one above my head on the back of the couch, and one on the coffee table in front of me, all asleep, as I type this...)
I've purchased all kinds of beds for my cats over the years: wicker, foam, quilted, etc. They've snubbed them all to find places they find more appealing. We recently bought a new mattress for our son's old bed (he sleeps there still when he visits), and our cat has decided we purchased it for him. He has been sleeping there ever since we brought it home. Yes, cat, we bought the brand new mattress for you.
