notes from a small island

I was hoping to take something new for this week - but the weather has been rather more grey than blue...

So I have gone back to my files - harebells, taken in July last year.

And a picture of my regular subject is

coast near Port Soderick

That was taken about four miles from where I live - but in June rather than February!

Though it feels more like spring than winter here, there are no flowers around, so I really appreciate yours.
The only things out around here just at the moment are actually snowdrops - and we might even get some snow to go with them at the weekend.
Beautiful blues! The water is so beautiful. Our water is generally green or brown--not that pristine blue. (It's not due to pollution or dastardly reasons--it's just muddy and filled with nutrients.)
Thank you. Our sea varies from this beautiful blue sometimes in the summer to shades of grey, as you know. But there was an interesting article in the local news about the reports of river pollution that turn out to be mud and/or nutrients.
Thank you - it is the beauty of this community isn't it?
Your harebells are beautiful (as is your summery sea).
The harebells are lovely, aren't they? Seems like a long time ago, last summer, now!
The harebells are so pretty and I love the shot... did you have to lie down in the grass to get that angle?

The water is very pretty... and it's so calm.
I didn't quite lie down - they were growing on a bank and so I achieved it by getting down on my hands and knees.

Calm day pictures of our sea are to be savoured - it is not often quite so still!
