Purple--a couple of water/storm shots.

My husband took this one a few years ago while on a camping trip to the town of 1770.

And because I was actually expecting Indigo rather than purple, here's another one that was taken at Woorim (the same beach I posted last week for blue) on a day when the beach was closed. My son ( a surf lifesaver) had patrol that day and spent most of the day having to convince people that they shouldn't go in the water. Why anyone would actually want to go in, I don't know.

I love the striations of color in the second picture. Very intense.
Is was a very intense day. LOL Quite the storm...as I say, I don't understand why anyone would WANT to go in the water.

Unfortunately the photo was taken on my phone, so it's not the best quality.
Wow Scary looking ocean/sky!
It was! I couldn't believe it when David told me how many people they had to turn back, telling them the beach was closed and then having them argue about it... people are NUTS!
Placid and stormy--nice contrasts.
Thank you!
Both are beautiful, but that second one is a stunner.
Thanks! It's just a shame I didn't have my camera with me that day and had to take it on my phone.
I was actually expecting Indigo rather than purple,

Hee - so was I! I had a nice picture all lined up...

I do like both of these, though.
Yes. I was expecting Indigo too - and took a picture of my Indigo pashmina yesterday but our light was so funny it came out quite pale. I was half wondering when and how Mariesue was going to throw us a curved ball and took one for pink at the same time to have up my sleeve!
And I do especially like that second picture.
I was expecting indigo too - and had found one picture to use (a night picture of the ocean) but then purple popped up and I had so much more choice. *g*

That is one ominous looking sea/sky combination, I certainly wouldn't have wanted to go swimming that day!
