Female

I said last post that showy architecture tends to the masculine. But in London we do have one famous landmark which is distinctly curvaceous and bosomy. St Paul's Cathedral may be dedicated to a male saint, and may replace a distinctly upward-pointing cathedral (Old St Paul's, which was destroyed in 1666, had a classic central spire - though it did collapse a century before the old cathedral was burnt down, so it was distinctly less masculine after that!), but I think of it as a properly female building all the same.

If you look back at the post I made for Male, this photo falls into place. It's what you see if you turn 180 degrees on the same spot. A bit of an antidote to the macho power station!

  • Air

A bit of poetic license, as I'm sure it's helium in those balloons rather than just air... But it's a recent favourite photo, for obvious reasons.
