Branch

I did try to come up with a creative interpretation of "branch" but quickly realized I have no chance of topping curiouswombat's Marks & Spencer branch. Also, Pretty sure my brain clicked off a couple hours ago.

Roussillon sunset

This was in Roussillon, in southeastern France several years ago. It's a really interesting place; very red. They've mined ochre there since apparently the paleolithic era. Everything is just kind of red anyway, but at sunset the light just intrigued me!

Comments

Very atmospheric (pun intended). I love the colours.
Thanks! It's a really interesting area in the daylight. Very red soil, most of the houses are yellows and reds. But I liked it with the sunset!
I love the muted house (which seems to be looking at me *g*) contrasted with the brightness of the sky just above.
Thanks! I hadn't thought about the house looking at you, but you're right. I do love the contrast though!
I love that gnarly tree!
I was really striking! Thanks!
That is a really beautiful picture - it looks like a fascinating place.
Thanks! And it was very interesting. If you find yourself in that part of the world I do recommend it!
So attractive.
Thanks! I really got lucky with the sunset, but it is a gorgeous spot!
this reminds me of how they say the networks of the brain look like branches (and root systems). why does this remind me of that? maybe because it's a heady photo (yes, that's my idea of a pun)?
Hee-- it kind of is a heady picture!

I've always thought lungs look more like trees than brains do; but really it works either way!
This is so beautiful!
Oh, that's really lovely!
