Scissors

Not a great picture, as my phone is only a basic type.

I took this at work today - I work as an Auxilliary Nurse in a large hospital and in my left pocket are always scissors, amongst other things.  Two days ago I was assisiting with a dressing and the nurse had to borrow mine to remove the outher layer of bandage ... she put them down and they got picked up with all the other rubbish at the end of the treatment, so I had to replace mine.  This is how they are in each wards storage -

btw, these are only used for basic work - anything major then correct, sterile equipment is always used.

I would think scissors always at hand an absolute necessity for a nurse!
I always have scissors and micropore tape in my pocket ... although sometimes the scisors are just useful for opening the packets of sauce that go with the patients meals!
When I do clinics in one of the hospitals there are always lots of green handles scissors around - so it is interesting to see that yours are orange.
*g* - hadn't realised that ... yep are ones for our pockets are orange, although nothing to do with out hospital logo colours ... maybe one of them was on special offer at the time!
A vital tool of the trade! (My daughter is a nurse.)
Pity I couln't take a picture of some of the other scissors that are carefully packaged up around the building
Hopefully you don't need scissors to get them out of the packaging!!
Most of them open easily - however we still get the impossible to open sachets and orange juice cartons for the patients to have!!
