Stone

I have two entries for "Stone". The first shows the projectile points I've found over the years. My favorite is the teeny tiny one, which is perfectly flaked.

And here is my Amazonite. I found this lovely stone in my Pennsylvania neighborhood when I was a child, and somehow didn't lose it over the next 45 years. I only got it identified last year.

Please ignore all the dog hairs on the carpet. I do vacuum quite frequently!

I'm constantly a-boggle by how much dog hair accumulates around here.

*iz boggled*
I've never heard of amazonite. What a pretty color.

I still have an entire box of rocks I collected as a kid.
I had never heard of it either. Apparently Pennsylvania is one of the places it's usually found.

I ADORED rock collecting as a child, and still watch for interesting stones when hiking or camping. Maybe you can share your box with us!
Maybe you can share your box with us!

I could do that, if it's okay to do 2 posts for a prompt...?
Why not? I love how we can all share and learn about one another.
Igneous!

What an fascinating set of worked arrowheads/spearheads - and the Amazonite is really pretty.
It's always a thrill to find something so wonderful.
The worked stone is awesome, and I totally love the blue/icy patterning on the Amazonite.

*has cat hair everywhere, despite vacuuming*
We could knit additional cats and dogs out of all that hair!

I love those stones.
