Coins/Money

Most of our museums are free entry, but they "encourage" suitable donations. This box was situated next to the door of the Victoria and Albert Museum when you enter via the London Underground entrance.

money coins.

I like your use of this prompt. Look at all the dragon treasure!
I do think the visit is worth more than coppers!
Oh this wasn't the entrance fee box - this one was for the guide to what was where - suggested donation was £1 I think...
I hope that's only the beginning-of-the-day haul! Those sorts of donation boxes always look so empty...
It was in the morning, but the box for suggested entrance fees was fuller. This one was for the single sheet map of what was where - suggested donation £1 (I think)
Great take on the prompt! I always loved these boxes and the custom of "paying entry" in this way. It enabled me as a poor student to visit some of the museums and galleris more often than I could have otherwise, though I put my share in the boxes as well.
I encouraged donations. It's nice to see how many people give back. Most of the time I'm surprised by the number that do. It's usually more than I'm expecting. I like the slight reflection of the coins in this photo.
