Old

Most of you probably own older books than this, but this is *my* oldest. I found it in a used bookstore in the late 1970s.

That's a lovely cover. Is it a good collection?
I love it. It's over 600 pages of English verse, from Chaucer to the mid-1800s. I wish it wasn't in such fragile condition.
My mum has that book - a gift from someone many years ago.

Thanks!
How interesting. I hope her volume is in better condition than mine. :)
I really like the design/etching on the book cover. I wish they still did that rather than book jackets.
So do I. This is a lovingly-made little book.
What a beautiful book! And yes, very old! Is it too fragile to read?
I do have to turn the pages very carefully.
What a treasure, and a true beauty! ♥
I really do treasure it. :)
Oh, what a perfect subject! Wish I'd thought of that! I love old books.
They're such treasures.
What a lovely cover. Most modern books are so very plain once their dust jacket is removed. I'm not sure how old my oldest book is, but some of the older ones are in better shape than ones printed much later, because they were printed on better paper with better bindings.
I love the covers of older books. I have my mom's copies of Heidi (1932) and Hans Brinker (1924), and they both have beautiful covers (and illustrations).
