Some of you may recognise this, since I posted it to my own LJ at the time. An art installation seen during a recent trip to a museum (and yes, you can walk around in it)

It is really fascinating - and an excellent answer to the prompt.
Thanks:) it's slightly hazardous to wander around in as well, since it gets slippery in the rain, and the surface is uneven.
Oh, how unique!
It definitely is:)
Wow - where abouts is it?
Netherlands, near Arnhem: this museum.
The only country in Western Europe I have yet to visit ... Pencils in a trip at some point.
Wow, you've been to Luxemburg, San Marino, Monaco, the Vatican, Liechtenstein and Andorra? ;-)
Yes!

When I was a teen and early 20's we used to have caravanning family holidays - crossing from Dover to Calais and exploring - normally about 3 - 4000 miles. Dad and I love sight-seeing, so we made sure we clocked up towns, cities ... and countries!
That makes it even more impressive that you missed out the Netherlands - LOL

Come to the Dark Side, we have cheese. And boterkoek.
One day I shall be there - "you have been warned"

(I need to add the flag to my collection!)
That is VERY cool!
You have to be careful since the surface a bit rough and slippery, but it was really fun to walk around in:)
I enjoyed seeing this on your LJ and enjoyed again here. What a unique idea, so well executed.

I guess it's made of concrete?
I think so, and then painted over.
Great prompt answer! What a cool installation. It must be awesome to discover all the possible angles and view-points while walking around in it, particularly for kids.
It is awesome:)
