Circle

England have blue plaques around the place, reminding us all of where famous people were born, lived or died.

This one, of Elizabeth Barrett Browning is typical and not far from where my parents live in Torquay.

I love blue plaques. Not having to know in advance, just finding stuff out as you walk along.
Yes, I had walked around that area a few times, before I spotted this one ... so certainly a nice suprise.
I'll share that with my mom. She just watched a movie about Elizabeth Barrett Browning (Jennifer Jones) on TV and was very impressed with the story.
I hadn't even realised she had spent time in Torquay until I saw that.

It is an amazing story.
What a good idea!
Thanks - I did slightly panic when I saw this prompt!
I must have been blind on all my visits to the UK so far, but I can't remember ever having spotted one of these. I shall be much more attentive from now on!
A great answer to the prompt, particularly with one of my most favourite poets.
LOL - in actual fact they are "everywhere" ... but I had walked along this road many, many times before I noticed it!
I remember these as I wandered around London. I almost got hit by a few cars crossing to read a few of them and I know I had at least one guide for them.

LOL - there are loads of them. Some are of people I have never heard of though, which does then make me look up about who they are.
I don't remeber seeing any blue plaques either. I must look for that next time also. :P

It just gives that added bonus in a boring part of town.
When I finally get to England, I'll keep an eye out for blue plaques!
They are everywhere ... and fascinating to suddenly spot one.
