Dark (and smile)

Last week totally blew past me, but I've got two for this week's prompt - both taken after dark last holiday season when I was trying to capture (somewhat unsuccessfully) the candles in the windows and the outside lights.

And for Smile - my daughter (when she was much younger) being amused by a puppy.

Those *both* make me smile.

I still haven't learned to take good pics at night with my camera.
:-) Hubby has given me his old camera (bought himself a new one). Theoretically, I'll be able to take much better pictures with it. As soon as I learn how to turn it on....and work it....
Now that is a nice smile.

And your house looks cosy and welcoming.
Christmas and puppies... a combo that definitely leads to smiles!
Pretty lights, and a great smile:)
I rather like your exterior shot, even if the candles aren't exactly obvious. There's just enough to give a feel for winter nights.
If you look really hard, you can just barely make out little tiny lights in the window, but you really have to know they're there. Not the effect I was going for. lol I suppose they only show up well when all the interior lights are off.
What a nice smile! I love the atmosphere of the exterior shots, it's just giving this special feeling of the season.
Thank you. I see that I am woefully behind again already! Not a good way to begin the new year.
