Keys not needed

When we changed the locks just after we bought our house, we decided on keyless entry...

Keyless Entry

and, yes, I need to paint that door...

That is a beautiful variety! I know this from when I lived in Paris, but the doors all had very functional, unpretty keypads.
Do you need power in the door for yours, or does it use batteries?
Thanks. It uses a 9 volt battery. It is very useful if someone is staying in the house; you can just program a code for them, so you do not have to give them keys.
That is a very pretty keypad. Oddly, the houses here with a keypad almost always have one that opens a small box - within which is the key!
Thank you. You might try checking online for keypad entry or dead bolt and see if they have them.
That's wonderfully high-tech!
It is quite useful.
What an interesting idea. Keypads were very common before smartcards, here, in 'official' buildings, guarding spaces that are not open to the public but have high employee traffic, but I've never seen one on a private residence.

(And your front door is nowhere near as much in need of a coat of paint as ours *g*)
Thanks. They are not very common for home use here either. I have been meaning to paint it for a year, but every time the weather is right, I am involved with something else...
