Photoshop Elements picked tonight to stop working, so I had to uninstall and reinstall, and even then it didn't work, until suddenly it did. I just...don't get technology. Anyway, I turned into a big mass of fail last year after starting off well, so let's see if I can do better this year.

Here's a number for you: 1905.

I took this photo as the snow was coming down so I'd remember the details of this historic synagogue in Tupper Lake, NY, way up in the Adirondack Mountains. Because of street signs and phone/electrical wires, it's impossible to get a good head-on shot, so here's one I took on a non-snowy day by lying down on the sidewalk and shooting up, just so you can see a bit of the building itself.

I really like your shot-angle.
Thank you. :-)
What a lovely building! Great photos. I like the angle looking upward in the second one. Makes it look even more impressive.
Thank you. I like it, too, but it's such a neat old building that I'm really sad I can't get a good head-on shot.
I really like the second picture, too. The low angle makes it tower impressively, but the lean ensures that it is not intimidating.

110 years is indeed a good age for a timber building.
Thank you. I really like that second shot, too. And I hadn't thought about it, but you're right. That's a great age for a timber building, especially since it was closed for 30 or 40 years somewhere in there.
An excellent number!
Though not a year I remember myself. *g*
A very beautiful choice! The wire-forced perspective makes for a great shot.
Thank you. I'd still love to get a head-on shot someday, but I, too, like the way this came out.
Nice angle!
Thank you. :-)
