Green is my favourite colour

so I found it difficult to decide what pictures to use. ;o)

When we've been to Villandry castle in the Loire valley in 2013, famous for its decorative vegetable gardens, there was a fascinating exhbition: vegetables or parts of them made from porcelain as artwork.
From left to right: the first I'm not really sure about, savoy, Chinese cabbage and white cabbage. They look so real you want to bite into them, and I would have so loved getting one of these had they not been so horribly expensive.

Have a detail:

Yes, some of them had small beetles or the odd snail.

Again I'm not sure about the first (I think some kind of kale) and also about the last, but 2 and 3 are variations of mangold/chard.

Amazing!They look so real!
They really do. When we entered the building we both thought at first they were real, somehow conserved vegetables.
I can't believe those aren't real!
We thought at first they were conserved real plant parts, too.
Wow, such artistry!
Isn't it? I find the idea of doing something like this awesome, too.
Wow. They really do look real. Amazing.
We thought at first they were real when we saw them, like conserved plant parts or so.
Aren't those amazing? I remember my gran having a plate that looked like a big lettuce leaf - but it was certainly not as realistic as those ones!
Oh, I would have liked a plate like this!
Green is my favorite color also and it does make the choice very hard. I love these. What are they made of? They look very real.
They are made from porcelain and they look very, very real. You have to get very close to see they are not somehow preserved plants.
