Hair

.
I didn't find this prompt easy to fill, at first, but it ended up being very stimulating.
Is it hair, if it's sculpted rather than grown?

Is it hair if it's hanging on a rack?

I think this is human hair, turned into a horse's tail.

And I know this is, in a piece of home-made jewellery.

(And I really must get a new glass for that old pocket watch case and do something proper with it.)

Oooh, wonderful examples! That last photo reminds me of a long, dark lock of my mom's hair (now quite grey) that I saved from years ago.
Thank you. Yes, I think that was the idea here, too. But it doesn't really work in this case, because the lock of hair isn't big enough to properly fill the case.
Those are all great - I love the rocking horse and the Victorian watch case especially.
Thank you. Isn't the horse great? I'd sort of seen it in passing many times, but it hadn't really registered why a barber's shop would have such a thing in the window. The watch case is lovely; I should really do something good with it.
Very clever! I love that old rocking horse.
Thank you. So do I.
A very interesting selection of pics. Well done!
Thank you.
Great choices, all of them! We had a rocking horse built by my father, and the mane and tail were made of plumber's flax. The horse still lives in their basement, but the tail is much shortened, because my father now uses it whenever he needs some flax for a plumbing job. *g*
Thank you.
You had a real rocking horse? Wow.
*laughs* I really like the sound of your dad.
