Delicate

The Archeology Museum at Stavanger, Norway, is a true gem. One of my favourite exibits is this whittled recreation of a Viking ornament, showing the delicacy and intricacy of their art.

Among the treasures of the museum are more delicacies from Viking excavations: Roman glass, importet articles of great value, and found with sufficient pieces to be reconstructed.

They're all quite breathtaking.
Aren't they? :D
Gorgeous! I never would have thought to put "delicate" and "Viking" in the same sentence.
*g* It sounds difficult, doesn't it? But having seen quite a bit of Viking era art and crafts by now I find it easy enough now.
The glassware is impressive, but I just love the wood carving.
I like this best, too.
It's great art when out of context one can still look at it and think, gosh, I'd love to have that somewhere I could look at daily. That's what I thought before I read the text. Very beautiful and open to interpretation.
:D It would be a dream to have at home.
That carving is beautiful.
Isn't it just? :o)
