Halloween was never a thing, when I was a kid. Guy Fawkes' Day was the communal festival. Now Halloween seems to be all over the place.

So yesterday I went out with my camera to find a response to this challenge. In one shop I saw Halloween costumes on a shelf next to Christmas decorations. Now that is scary – it was still October, for goodness sake *g*

But the best thing I saw was actually in the library: a skeleton made from 2 litre plastic milk bottles –
