I'll never forget the deliriously joyful announcement I made on LJ on May 1, 2010, when I adopted and brought home a sweet, shy rescue pup named Reyna (soon to be re-named Pippin). Here is the first picture I ever took of her. She had given birth to pups in the shelter, and was so skinny! I'd waited decades to have a dog of my own, and every day since has been a joy.

I had forgotten how skinny she looked to start with. What a beautiful, and confident, little dog she has become.
She really has, the little scamp!
She's been such a joy for you, and you for her as well.

Thank you. I hope she's as happy as I am.
You are the perfect match! I was happy when I posted I had Harry too. Our pets bring so much joy.
*happy hugs for you*
A lovely memory. And a very cute little thing she was. I particularly like that second shot, but her expression in the first is also lovely.
She's very expressive with those big eyes!
reality - i'm not that into small dogs

reality check - i'm really into your small dog, Pippin and her really cute bear. what a lucky sweetheart!
Awwww, thank you. Pip is really a sweetheart, and that bear is one of her 'happy places'.
What a darling - and I just love that picture of her with Mr Bear. A 4 legged friend is the best of announcements!
*grins* Your icon is adorable!
I'm so glad you two found one another. You are a good doggie mommie and PipDog is a joy. (Hugs) to you both.
Thank you. I've enjoyed learning to be a mommy for the first time. :)
Awwww, what a lovely announcement, and such a sweet pic of Pip! She's so lucky to be with you now (and you with her, of course, too :D ). To imagine she had pups... Skrållan must have had at least a litter as well, the vet said when she was neutered, and she was not older than a year when we got her, and also so horribly thin. Aren't our shelter/rescure furries the most special ones? ♥
I love that second pic which so clearly shows who that bear monster belongs to.

They're the BESTEST!!!!
