Trying to keep up where and when I can. This is a huge outcrop of rock (hill) knows as Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh. We walked all the way to the top, but I took lots of pictures of it too. There's lots more to know about it, but I can't remember it now, so I'm providing a link to the wiki entry below.

Arthur's Seat

Oooh, what an accomplishment to reach the top!
There may have been a pause to "admire the view" about 2/3 of the way up.....
Ah, long time since I was in Edinburgh /nostalgia

I love the fact that it looks like it is out in the wilds, not in the middle of a city.
It's pretty amazing to have something like that right there where you can take a bus to it. Lots of people, so it seems to be pretty popular.
Lovely choice, very craggy! I like how although it's in the centre of Edinburgh, no trace of the city can be seen.

Thank you for the Wikipedia link ... I visited Edinburgh (and Arthur's Seat) when I was a child, but couldn't have told you anything about it. How interesting that it's a volcanic outcrop - and with a fascinating history to boot.
The history is really interesting. We loved Scotland and Edinburgh.
That is a lovely picture - and an unusual one as most of the pictures around of Arthur's Seat show it from a different angle to include the city. I like yours better :)
Thanks. I'm not sure where I was standing when I took this one. I was trying to figure it out. I may have been on it, actually, and looking across at the other outcrop, but I don't think so. It was the pic that showed it most clearly, the others were all pics of the view.
This looks so beautiful, I'd like to put on my hiking shoes right away! :D
LOL It was quite a hike - but awesome.
