Another Sharp: The Shard

I was out testing a 100-300mm zoom today and took this - not as nice as I'd like, the lens isn't wonderful, but it's definitely sharp enough - the Shard (and London Eye) seen from the Albert Memorial.

Works for me!
I really wish I wasn't afraid of heights, I'd love to take pictures from both vantage points.
Oh - you and me both - anywhere high and I can't look out or over so there is no chance of pictures!
Great to see The Shard from a slightly different angle
The thing's big enough that it ought to be visible from most of London, in practice there are usually buildings in the way. There just happens to be a very long sight line there across Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, and Green Park, so it's visible.
Early morning, or late afternoon? That blue light is very wintery.
One day I will go on the London eye. The view must be amazing.
A bit before sunset but looking East - I realised this morning that the camera had its white balance set for tungsten lighting - presumably by the previous owner, I've only had it a week or so - which is why every picture I took yesterday was a bit too blue.
