Weather

We have had little snow - but Force 9 gales (wind speeds of 55mph or so) and freezing temperatures all week.

So - this was a hasty phone pic from the shelter of a building 20-30 yards from the sea, taken yesterday a little before they closed the road altogether -

That is sea water on the road - we haven't had any rain for a couple of weeks.

And this is how cold it has been -

These are absolutely stunning photos.
Thank you!
Brrrrr! It has been so bitter. I've not been in the really storm-affected areas, but I shan't be sorry to say goodbye to this horrible wind. Those pictures make me very glad I'm indoors with the heating on!
I have been huddled indoor with the heating on for much of the time, to be honest! THe wind has been really bitter but is easing a little now, thank goodness.
Those are mpressive winds along the front. Brrr...
The sea actually ripped up big chunks of the walkway that morning - the weather was very fierce.
Wow, that's quite impressive - the weather conditions as well as the frozen fountain! The latter is somethign you don't get to see every day. I hope its pipes didn't freeze!
The fountain defrosted and kept on running with no problems, fortunately.
