Just as well I have eaten breakfast. I would otherwise be stuffing my face after looking at this.
One of my favourite breakfasts is a plain scone with marmalade!

I do love a plain scone with strawberry jam. Actually I also like a plain scone with a good chunky marmalade, too :)
My favourites on scones (or similar) change often, usually according to my favourite jam of the moment - which could be strawberry, red or black currant, damson jam (for lack of a better word - I don't think the way we cook it is well-known outside Central Europe) - probably more like a damson butter than anything else), rhubarb, rhubarb-vanilla, rhubarb-ginger, sour cherry, rasperry - or also marmalade. I have a terrific recipe for tangerines where you use the whole fruit, including all the peel (you need organic ones, of course), which is just the perfect kind of tart for me.
